Centerfield Releases New Research on Higher Education in 2021
Read our annual report on the perceptions and enrollment intentions of prospective students in the post-COVID era.
There is no doubt that the pandemic has forced educational institutions of all levels to transform their learning models. In 2018, nearly 35 percent of college students took at least one online course, and more than 16 percent were exclusively enrolled in online classes. No doubt that figure will skyrocket after the events of 2020 and 2021.
Centerfield analyzed user demographics for hundreds of thousands of prospective students and surveyed nearly 1,000 American adults about their interests and intentions with respect to continued education. We found that only one-third of students plan to take higher education courses in person this year. This is one of five emerging trends highlighted in our 2021 Education Report – now available to download here.
We also recently asked some leaders in this space to join us in sharing their best practices for optimizing marketing efforts and reaching more students in the coming years. In case you missed our Marketing & Enrollment for Higher Education Webinar, watch the full recording below.
