Centerfield Releases New Research on Online Shoppers in 2021

Read our annual report on the perceptions and shopping intentions of more than 50 million online consumers.

There is no question e-commerce is poised for substantial growth in 2021. Amidst COVID-19, we saw all-time high check-outs for e-tailers in apparel, electronics, and houseware, with average order value of e-commerce purchases shattering records in the final months of 2020.

Centerfield recently extracted strategic insights from user demographics and device usage data for millions of consumers across every major category. We found that more than two in three seniors or 70 percent of older adults are shopping online during the pandemic. This is one of five emerging trends highlighted in our 2021 E-Commerce & Couponing Outlook – now available to download here.

For additional e-commerce insights, we compiled our favorite learnings and predictions from the live webcast dedicated to understanding the pandemic’s effects on online retail that we produced just as 2020 was coming to a close. We asked some leaders in this space to join us in analyzing new trends and consumer behavior and sought to provide attendees with a platform to ask their most pressing questions.
