Centerfield Raises Awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research

Centerfielders across the U.S. came together last month to participate in the St. Jude Walk/Run. The annual 5K event, which went virtual this year due to the ever-changing COVID-19 landscape, supports the research and treatment of pediatric catastrophic diseases.

Since opening its doors more than 50 years ago, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has helped push the overall survival rate for childhood cancer from 20 percent when its doors first opened to more than 80 percent today.

Donations from the St. Jude Walk/Run help ensure that families will never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food. Consistent with the vision of their founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family’s ability to pay.

Since 2011, Centerfield has donated more than $1.2 million to non-profit organizations.  Read about our recent support of NAACP and other anti-racism organizations, Stop AAPI Hate, supporting India in its time of need, and Girls Who CodeGiving Back is one of our nine traits of being a Centerfielder.
