Centerfield Launches Development Program for Female Leaders
Centerfield passionately believes in developing outstanding female leaders. In an effort to strengthen that commitment, Centerfield has launched a five-month development program to equip high-potential females with the key skills needed to become effective people managers. The goal is to empower female Centerfielders to achieve their leadership aspirations and support them in building connections with women across the organization.
According to Senior Director of Learning & Organizational Development Zelna McGee, who is facilitating the program, participants will receive one-on-one mentorship and attend in-person and virtual workshops. Topics include self-awareness, executive presence, communication, feedback, and resilience, along with key managerial principles, including elevating performance, motivating and engaging others, and delegating effectively.
Thirteen female leaders were selected to join the very first group. Participants from all over the U.S. and representing a myriad of departments – product, research, client success, people operations, and more – converged at Centerfield’s L.A. headquarters earlier this month to connect with and learn from senior leaders.
“I’m excited to be part of this program and fine-tune my skills to become a successful manager,” said one of the 13 participants, Senior Culture Designer Jenna Borden. “It’s something I’ve been focused on in my own career path and I’m happy Centerfield is investing in me as well as my colleagues.”
