Celebrating National Intern Day

In honor of National Intern Day, we wanted to highlight some of the hardest-working team members — interns! Centerfield offers a wide range of internship opportunities, from marketing to recruitment to research. If you’re interested in joining the Centerfield team, check out our Careers page for more information.

Halley Dyaanand, Marketing Research Intern, Student at Georgia State University

Q: What projects are you most excited to work on?

A: I am excited to be working on A/B testing to measure bias in the job application process. The research is unique and very interesting so far!

Q: What are some new things you have learned about your role or department?

A: I’ve only been on the team for about a month now, but so far, I have learned just how much time and dedication it takes to execute a research piece in its entirety. It can be tedious work, but the result is incredibly impactful and important!

Q: What are some of your personal successes outside of work?

A: I love to travel, and I’m fortunate to have been to 14 countries and 15 states so far!

Trinity Lee, Marketing Research Intern, Student at Lehigh University

Q: What projects are you most excited to work on?

A: One of the projects I’m currently working on is about job opportunities for new grads out of college. I can’t wait to see what kinds of surprising conclusions we can make from analyzing the application process.  As the information is also pertinent to my own life experiences, it’s exciting to see how a project like this comes together behind the scenes.

Q: What are some new things you have learned about your role or department?

A: So far I’ve learned about survey design, A/B testing, and data tracking. I am new, so there’s plenty of time to learn more!

Q: What are some of your personal successes outside of work?

A: I learned how to crochet and made a hat and a patchwork cardigan recently. Haven’t quite had the courage to start a larger project yet, but I have been eyeing some cool sweaters as a next project.

Joey Graziano, Talent Acquisition Intern, Student at Chapman University

Q: What projects are you most excited to work on?

A: We are currently working on several projects, including a redesign of our career webpage, creating content for social media, as well as increasing accessibility for inbound applicants.

Q: What are some new things you have learned about your role or department?

A: I’ve learned how important it is to communicate clearly and frequently for everything to run smoothly. Everyone plays a key role in recruiting and optimizing the talent acquisition process.

Q: What is your favorite office perk?

A: I always look forward to lunch on Wednesdays, because it’s a great time to take a break and meet new people from other departments while enjoying some outstanding food!

Q: What are some of your personal successes outside of work?

A: I will be graduating from Chapman University next year and wrapping up my participation in several clubs and leadership organizations I am currently a part of. Being an Eagle Scout, I also plan to volunteer my services back to my local troop and help young scouts excel through the ranks!

Simran Dhawan, Marketing Research Intern, Student at University of Richmond

Q: What projects are you most excited to work on?

A: I was most excited to begin our project, which includes analysis of the job market for recent college graduates after the Great Resignation.

Q: What are some new things you have learned about your role or department?

A: I have learned how to work effectively in teams. I really liked how Ryan, Beth, and Corie have such a love for what they do and are meticulous with their research. It has taught me to be more detail-oriented and passionate about what I do.

Q: What is your favorite office perk?

A: My favorite part of working at Centerfield so far is the company culture, which includes clubs of different interests and fitness challenges. I recently joined the film club, and it was exciting to be able to learn about people’s opinions and thoughts beyond just work life.

Q: What are some of your personal successes outside of work?

A: In my last month of college, my Bollywood Dance team put together a showcase, and I was proud to be on the exec team where I choreographed dances, mixed music, conducted rehearsals and produced videos — all while recovering from knee surgery!
